Welcome Class of 2013!

On behalf of the 2009 New Student Orientation Team and the Ohio Wesleyan community, we are thrilled to welcome the class of 2013! We were first-year students ourselves just a few short years ago, and we know that the transition to college can be both exciting and intimidating and that's where we come in.

During Orientation, you will make new friends, get to know campus, receive first-hand advice about how to be successful in college, and take the first steps toward calling OWU home. We've organized an outstanding team of the best student leaders to be your Orientation Leaders, who are professionally trained to guide you through your first days on campus and beyond.

Since January we have reevaluated and changed dated programs, bringing you the best Orientation yet at OWU. Our program is on the forefront of technology amongst college campuses across this nation. In April, we were one of only ten university Orientation programs, and the only small liberal arts college to have a Twitter account, allowing you to follow our progress over the summer and receive real time event notification updates throughout Orientation this August.

You've come from all around the world, from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, interests and goals. What you want to study and who you want to be varies across the board, but what you all have in common is that you have chosen OWU as a place to call home for the next 4 . . . maybe even 5 years. We cannot say enough about how excited we are to help you begin your adventure at OWU. The endless learning, unique experiences, and irreplaceable memories ahead of you will make for some of the best years of your life. We hope that you are as excited as we are for Orientation 2009, and we look forward to meeting you this August!
