Letter to Students
Congratulations on making a magnificent decision to attend Ohio Wesleyan University! I extend greetings to you from the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA). As we prepare for the 2009-2010 academic school year, we are making plans and creating programs to aid you in having a successful year at OWU! It is important to us that we help you develop and enhance your skills while providing you information that you need to navigate your way through your freshman year. Consequently, the OMSA has designed a pre-orientation program that helps you to become acclimated to campus life while helping you make connections with current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
We have enclosed a registration form for the Ohio Wesleyan University’s MSA Pre-Orientation Program which will begin on August 17, 2009. We anticipate your arrival on the afternoon of August 16, 2009 as you move into your fall assignment. We look forward to having you participate in this wonderful and rewarding experience. This program will be essential in understanding the rich history and legacy of OWU as well as provide an opportunity to sharpen skills needed for your college career. If you will be involved with a sport team (i.e. football, soccer, etc.), please indicate that on the registration so we can work with your coach and try to make arrangements to have you excused from practice to participate in the MSA Pre-Orientation Program.
Please review the tentative MSA Pre-Orientation schedule and fill out the registration form. We really need to know when you will be arriving on campus to insure your room is ready. If you will need ground transportation from the Columbus International Airport or bus terminal, please indicate on the registration form. Additionally, please give the enclosed parent/guardian letter to your parent/guardian for their parent orientation. As always, please feel free to contact me at 740.368.3151 work or 937.260.0105 cell. I will be more than happy to be of support.
Congratulations and Welcome to Ohio Wesleyan University. We are excited and look forward to you having a successful year!
Sincerely,
Terree L. Stevenson, Class of 1995 Director of Multicultural Student Affairs
